LIMC Meeting Schedule

The Lake Istokpoga Management Committee (LIMC) reports to the Highlands County Board of County Commissioners and meets quarterly to make recommendations on issues that affect Lake Istokpoga. The committee is jointly chaired by Highlands County and the Florida Freshwater Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC). Highlands County is represented by Mr. Clell Ford, Highlands County Lakes Manager, and the FWC is represented by Mr. Tom Champeau.

There are now two LIMC Sub-committees:  Lake Management and Hydrilla Management.

Currently the LIMC are working to make the LIMC information available online at the Highlands County Soil and Water Conservation District website. We will let you know when it becomes available.

Lake Management Plan Sub-committee

Currently, the LIMC is working on a Istokpoga Watershed Management Plan and monthly meetings are being called to develop this plan. Call Clell Ford for more information on these meetings.

Hydrilla Management Sub-committee

This sub-committee has been put in place to deal with all hydrilla issues, policies, and plans. It is responsible to present a report and or recommendations at the quarterly LIMC meetings. Ray Gaiefsky is the chair of this committee and is responsible for this presentation to the full LIMC.
